Overview
Selkirk College offers a variety of Entrance Scholarships to support students to attend full-time post-secondary studies. Awards are based on high academic achievement on select grade 11 and/or 12 courses. Entrance scholarships range in value up to $2,500.00.
Who Qualifies?
1. Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have graduated, or who are about to graduate, from secondary school.
2. Students registering for the first time in a post-secondary program, at a minimum 80% course load, for the 2025 Fall semester.
- Students with a documented disability are considered full-time at a minimum 40% course load but must be registered with the Accessibility Services Office at Selkirk College.
- Youth Train in Trades (YTT) and Apprenticeship programs are not eligible for Entrance scholarships.
- When courses start, contact FinancialAid@selkirk.ca to confirm you are in the correct course load requirement.
Important Information
1. In order to submit an application you must have applied to your program of choice at Selkirk College and have a student number assigned to you.
2. All Entrance scholarships are selected on a competitive basis. Selection is based on the highest accumulated grade point average (GPA) for the following completed grade 11 and/or 12 courses: English 11/12 (or equivalent), Science 11/12 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Geography), any Math 11/12, any Socials/History 11/12, and any Language 11/12.
3. Copies of your high school transcript must be uploaded during the application process. Before starting the application have a scanned copy of your high school transcript ready.
4. Selkirk College reserves the right to withhold any award for which funds were not received or no applicant is deemed suitable.
