Available Workshops 9:30 - 11:50 am: Practical Strategies to Develop Self-Regulated Learners. Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) doesn’t change the curriculum, it empowers students to take charge of their learning and to become better learners. This session focusses on SRL strategies you can integrate into learning environments. We will explore, critique and plan how you can leverage the following strategies: 1. Planning, monitoring and reflecting on learning 2. Reducing academic procrastination through motivation regulation 3. Goal setting 4. Emotional intelligence 1:00 - 3:00 pm: Designing Effective Learning Environments. This session will provide an opportunity to engage more deeply in learning design principles, instructional strategies and authentic assessment. Participants are encouraged to bring course design/redesign projects/ideas to develop further in a supportive and collaborative workshop environment.
